Digital Marketing Content Coordinator

We are currently looking for a new team member to fill the role of Content Coordinator. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement content marketing strategies for a wide range of clients. This role will include giving direction to a team of content writers, managing client requests, managing content deadlines, and editing to ensure all content created meets SEO best practices. You will also create website content for some of our clients.

Key Functional Areas of Responsibility


Content Creation & Management

  • Writing webpages, blogs, and whitepapers for a wide range of industries
  • Giving direction to the content writing team
  • Managing editorial calendars and monthly project work
  • Preparing content strategy documents for new projects


  • Writing title tags, metadescription & ALT text in accordance with SEO best practices
  • On-page optimization of existing website content using SEO best practices
  • Aligning website content with overall SEO marketing strategy
  • Publishing webpages & blog articles in accordance with SEO best practices

Client Communication

  • Managing client communications by phone, email & in-person
  • Incorporating editorial feedback from clients, while ensuring content aligns with SEO best practices


  • Keep up-to-date with SEO, search engine, social media and internet marketing industry trends and developments
  • Communication to team and management on project developments, timelines, and results
  • Work closely with the other team members to meet client goals
  • Provide assistance to search strategist & search manager
  • Attend internal status meetings
  • Proactively look for and offer other ways to support search strategist and search manager


Required Skills

  • University degree, college diploma or 1 year of SEO experience
  • Demonstrated writing skills and content editing experience.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Ability to think creatively, and identify and resolve problems
  • Independently manage tasks & time using company tools
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Creative ideas & a sense of humour


Additional Qualifications

  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience using project management software
  • Experience managing paid social media advertising campaigns
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Industry certifications such as AdWords, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Yoast etc.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS
  • Experience working in WordPress and/or Drupal
