We came together as a community to discuss ways to foster a successful attitude, the importance of empathy, and recognize the collective efforts of women in the workplace. Keynote speaker Erin Bury, a tech guru and startup aficionado, shared stories of her journey as an innovator.

I was and continue to be inspired by my first role model Dr. Laurie Marker. She got tired of asking “why doesn’t someone do something?”. So she packed up her life and moved to the other side of the world to be the person who was doing something.
Not only did she teach me that one person can change the world, she taught me how to be a mentor, how to work with everyone and how to inspire others.
