Mardel Davis, Account Manager

What I Do: Account Management, Digital Marketing Strategy, Business Development, Client Services, Paid Search Strategy, Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Marketing

Mardel has more than 10 years of experience working at creative, digital marketing and web design agencies. She has honed her skills as Account Manager, Project Manager and Business Development Lead. At Ontario SEO, Mardel is getting back to her roots (and her passion) of being the liaison between the client and internal team as Account Manager. She has a knack for being the voice of the client during internal meetings when the client can’t be there.

Mardel has a BA in Media, Information and Technoculture with a minor in Psychology. After graduating and working in the financial industry, she rounded out her education with a Graduate diploma in Corporate Communications and Public Relations (CC & PR).

As a child, Mardel was a chatterbox. Her parents would suggest they play the “quiet game” where they would see who could stay quiet the longest. Mardel always had one more thing to say before the game could start, and once it started, she was the first to speak every time.  When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, her answer was consistently, “I want a job where I get to talk with people all day!” It was while enrolled in the CC & PR program that she learned there was a dream job for her: Account Manager.

Relationship building has always been Mardel’s forte. She prides herself on being able to listen and learn to understand the client’s needs. Sometimes it takes a bit of digging and asking “why?” and “what is the goal we are trying to achieve?” Her ability to communicate has always been her secret sauce. At Ontario SEO she is tasked with translating the nitty gritty technical jargon in a way that clients can easily understand.

Mardel thrives when she is working in her element, surrounded by a team of passionate, talented colleagues. When she isn’t at the office, you’ll find Mardel and family at the playground or frequenting a local market.
